Thanksgiving and home

Happy Monday to all -

Dallas has been home for a week and a half now and is doing great.  Her appetite is coming back and her energy level is gaining as well.  She even starting to take over my chair in the living room in the evenings.....  It had been the norm for the past 7 months that when she was home that she pretty much was always laying in her bed.  To see her up and about is really great but I think we need to work out a chair schedule!!

Thanksgiving was great!  I had hoped and prayed that she would be done and home for the holidays and she is!  We started the day Thursday by watching the Macy's parade and spotting the streets and storefronts that we had been at during the past 7 months in NYC.  We had dinner with both family and friends at the Snug Harbor and drank lots of champagne in celebration.  The food was great, conversations were plenty and fun was had -

Dallas has an appointment with Doc Healey next Monday.  He wants to make sure all is healing underneath the scab and skin at the surgery site.  There may be the need to do a bit more work on her leg to be able to verify the healing but we are confident that she will not require anything more in regards to hospital stuff!!!!  Please keep the prayers and positive mojo going for her and her leg!!

So now the game plan is to continue to fatten Dallas up, get her immune system rebuilt, leg continue to heal, confidence up, get some hair growing and then get her back into the school routine January 5.  This and the monthly scans and such will all be part of our much anticipated new normal!!!

Please feel free to stop and visit us during this holiday season and remember - GO STEELERS!!!!!
