Dallas is amazing!

It has been 4 days now that the ladies have been home since spending a few days at the University Hospital in Syracuse.  Dallas has made amazing advances in the last 2 weeks in regards to actually moving around.

She went from laying in bed 24 hours a day ( 2 weeks ago ) to now being able to get herself sitting up in bed, standing up and using her walker to move about the house.  Truly an amazing site!!  The last time I saw her attempting to use her walker, Christine had to stand behind her and actually lift her leg for her while Dallas cried in pain and fear the entire time.  Last night we went out for a family dinner, when getting ready to leave the house, I went to get Dallas and carry her to the car as usual but she was already up and moving towards the door with her walker - the site of her doing that on her own totally blew me away!!!  I am so very proud of her, she is the bravest, strongest 11 year old out there!!!!

We have 2 more chemo cycles to go!!  I will be driving the ladies to the Ronald McDonald House Saturday night and Grandma Margot will be meeting them there Sunday morning ( she is flying in from SLC to be with them for the week ).  It will be really nice to have Margot with the ladies for the week and hopefully between the chemo, Dallas will be well enough to enjoy the visit.

On the home front - Justin finally got a haircut ( he is looking for a job ) we can finally see his eyebrows now, or rather his one huge eyebrow - can you say unibrow.......  The season at the Snug Harbor is winding down and he is now faced with actually having to go find a job where when they are slow, he will not be able to take the boat out on the lake and wake board....  He continues to make all his classes at school and has proved to be a good brother.  Through all of this, he has not complained about any of his needs and has been very caring for his sister.

The 2 dogs are the same - they want to come in the house when they are outside and want to go outside when they are in, chew on their squeaky toys loud enough so I can not here the tv and continue the all out war when outside on those fierce, threatening, intimidating, adorable, cute squirrels that play in the trees just a few feet away from the dangers of the 2 knuckleheads we call Remy and Harley.......
