Football starts Thursday night!!!!!
Good morning - it is a beautiful Tuesday morning and will be a beautiful week!!
We achieved a bit of progress over the long weekend. Dallas actually got out of bed to be weighed, they needed to establish the dosage of chemo she will need - she was so excited that she was able to move!! She has lost a bit of weight but that will be only a small challenge for us -
Dallas finally started her chemo yesterday. She has a very positive attitude and is ready to get the next 4 days done and get home soon after for a few days! She will be doing 4 more 3 week cycles of chemo, receiving chemo 5 days a week.
I think she forgot how bad it makes her feel but she did pretty well yesterday. She knows that it is only a temporary feeling and in a week or so, she will feel normal again.
It has been so long since the last round of chemo that her hair began to grow back a little bit....
Christine has started running again in the mornings in hopes to establish a bit of, oh what's that word - oh yeah - normalcy..... Christine does have a new love in her life - NYC pizza!! Not sure how we will feed her craving when they get home but we can figure that out.
We are positive that the recovery from the surgery is behind us now and that we will focus on the chemo cycles while trying to slowly transition towards seeing an end to this nightmare.
It is a really important week for me as well, my fantasy football draft is tomorrow night - any tips or advice who to pick??
Enjoy the sun and blue skies -
