Overwhelming support

We had the family & friends of Dallas benefit this past Sunday, only one word can describe what took place - overwhelming.......
Nancy, Kate and Fran made this event a complete success.  Our friends, family and community showed up to show their support and there are not words to describe our appreciation!  There will be a lot more talk about the benefit on a later post - we have so many people and local businesses to thank!

The ladies began their journey back to the city this morning - we started the day at 4:30 am, in preparation of getting to the shuttle by 6:30 am - Dallas really didn't care for the early start but handled it with very little crankiness but a bit of sarcasm....

Christine's father Allen is flying to the city this morning to meet them and will be with Christine for the next 5 days.  I am sure his journey from the airport to Sloan will bring atleast a couple good stories that I will share later on....

Please think about Dallas on Thursday and say a prayer for her - I have complete confidence that the surgery will be a total success!!

For all the support everyone at my work has given me, all the support from Christine's work, all the support from family members and friends - thank you!

    Hi Dallas and Family,

I just read a story about Dallas on line and wanted to send best wishes and prayers from Buffalo. My son Joseph also had Ewing's Sarcoma. He was diagnosed when he was 18 months old and went through about a year of treatment. He just turned 4 and is now cancer free. He had the tumor in his left fibula. It sounds like the chemotherapy is working which is huge and your in very good hands with the Doctors at Sloan Kettering. The treatment is tough but just keep fighting the good fight.

    Best Wishes,
    the Mayer Family.
