Our commute to the hospital......
All,
We arrived yesterday. Dallas and I flew and we had an interesting encounter with a lovely retired couple from Corning Inc. Our flight was grounded in Elmira as Newark Airport would not allow us to land so eventually they re-routed us to Morristown. When we arrived at the Morristown hangar a very nice lady by the name of Polly asked if she could have her driver take us to Sloan. Of course I accepted the offer as we were running behind with the delay and we still had to shuttle to Newark. If we were too late Dallas wouldn't be able to start her chemo and that would only prolong our stay. Her sessions are 8 hours long so we should technically arrive no later than 9am.
Anyways, we had a lovely car ride and she shared some pretty amazing adventures of her life with us. Being with Polly yesterdaymorning diverted our attention for awhile and made it possible for us to get to the hospital on time. I am still continuously amazed with how many people are willing to help Dallas and they don't even know her! God is great!!!!
She's getting chemo right now and is feeling as good as can be expected. We had a great week at home and we were able to attend my son's high school graduation. It was an emotional day but I am very proud of the young man he has become.
Will keep you posted. We get to meet with her surgeon tomorrow and I believe we will know what his plan of attack is after the meeting. Please pray she will remain whole!
Much love,
Christine aka Mom

I am glad to hear your journey to NYC went well. My husband Roy works with your husband at CBORD. We pray for Dallas every night, and my 2 year old always says, "Dad who is Dallas?" Sounds like she is on track to see the Jonas Bros. in concert! God Bless you and your family, may our prayers give you the strength you need. Molly Santa Croce
