Update on Lady Dallas

I ( Dallas' dad ) am in New York City visiting Dallas and Christine.   It is my 2nd visit, it is their 2nd cycle of treatment.  We have a room at the Ronald McDonald House in Mahattan.  For those of you that are not familiar with this house - they are incredible!!  They sponsor activities to keep the kids occupied and minds away from their battles.  They host cookouts, pass out tickets to local events - pretty much they do everything!!  Our stay here has been provided by wonderful people that are my co-workers!!
Before I get into updating on Dallas' condition, I want to take time to comment on how great my wife's employer and my employer are!!  Both companies have showed nothing but support, love and well wishes.

Sprague Insurance Company is where my wife works.  As I write this, Christine is sitting across the room working on a proposal for a local law firm.  Her company set her up with a laptop and all the tools to connect just as she is sitting in her cube.  She even receives phone calls from her clients.  This really helps Christine keep her mind fresh and occupied.  Her co-workers are helping set up a benefit that I believe is on July 20th - it is a Sunday in Corning.  I will have more info on this later.

My company, The CBORD Group also has been so very supportive.  Some of my projects have been picked up by my co-workers and the support that everyone has showed has proven to be endless and impressive!
I never, ever imagined that people can be so nice!!  Some say it is prayer, karma or mojo - whatever it is, I never new these type of people existed - let alone surround me and my wife.....
Fellow co-workers set this site up for us, are coordinating numerous benefit days to raise money and continue to shower Dallas with love, support, fun things to do and activities.

Dallas will receive 3 rounds of 3 week chemo cycles followed by surgery to remove the "bad" portion of tibia followed by 2 weeks or so of rest then 4 more 3 week cycles of heavy duty, 5 day a week chemo.
She currently is in the middle of her 2nd week of cycle 2.  She has done just enough to dodge the dreaded low cell counts and the hospital stay that goes with it.  We had an MRI last Friday after 1 1/2 chemo sessions and the results showed no reduction in the tumor in her bone but reduction in the soft tissue cancer surrounding the bone.  Her lead Oncologist said this was "pretty good news"!!

We hope she stays healthy and keeps her blood counts up and fever away.  We really want mom and Dallas to come home on Friday, June 20th for the week before they start cycle 3.  My sister and her family are in from Oklahoma and we really hope all can get together.

    Hi everyone!
I am Nancy Daines, a friend Of Christine, Bill and Dallas. Dallas and my daughter Cassidy have been friends since preschool. It is amazing to watch them grow and maintain their friendship no matter what. We love and pray for Dallas and family everyday.
I am one of many people putting together a benefit on July 20th at the Corning Local 1000 Union Hall. We are having a great big party in honor of Dallas! It is going to be a great event with help from so many others! We are in high gear getting everything put together, but can always use more help if anyone is willing! It has been my saving grace as I watch Dallas go through her recovery. We know she is a strong girl. We cheer every time she gets home from her treatments! Christine, Bill, Justine and Dallas, we love you all!
